U.S. Sen. Jon Tester’s downtown Bozeman office was vandalized during the weekend with expletives and red and black spray paint reading, “Tester funds genocide.”
Backed by Montanans for Palestine and the Montana Democratic Socialists of America, several council members voiced support for the resolution, saying Missoula should display its humanitarian side in calling for an end to what several described as “genocide.”
U.S. Sen. Steve Daines and U.S. Rep. Ryan Zinke, both Montana Republicans, have in recent weeks introduced bills seeking to block Palestinians from entering the United States, and in Zinke’s case, to expel any who have recently come to America.
