UM Dance Department prepares for gala performance

The American College Dance Association has 13 regional conferences nationwide, and the University of Montana is a part of the Northwest Region.

Each year the association hosts a celebration of dance on college campus' nationwide. The conference rotates to different university each year. This year it will be held at Gonzaga University.

The students who attend are exposed to workshops by professional dancers/choreographers, as well as being able to connect with other students. Each school brings two choreographed dances to be judged by nationally known dancer/choreographers.

Ten dances are selected to be showcased in the final Gala preformace. UM Dance Department over the years has successfully been able to have dances selected for the Gala.
