The University of Montana’s total enrollment is down again this year. It’s the eighth year in a row Montana has seen less students than the previous school year, thus causing less revenue, the streamlining of staff and the cutting of programs.

The suspect in a series of shootings on Friday that left one man dead and three more people injured, including Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Wade Palmer, made his initial appearance in Missoula County Justice Court on Monday afternoon. Bond for Johnathan Bertsch was set at $2 million.
