AT&T names new VP of Montana, Rocky Mountain region

AT&T has named a new vice president and general manager to oversee the company's Rocky Mountain region, including its retail locations in Montana and Idaho.

Amanda Harris will manage nearly 700 employees and more than 500 retail locations owned by AT&T, along with national retail partners and authorized resellers.

The territory includes Montana, Idaho, Colorado, Utah and Wyoming.

“I’m excited for Montanans to experience how we’ve transformed mobile entertainment,” said Harris. “With DIRECTV NOW, our customers can now stream their favorite TV shows from their wireless device anywhere in Big Sky Country, whether they’re on a chair lift, in a tree stand or on the water.”

AT&T agreed to pay roughly $48.5 billion for DirecTV and closed the deal last year. The newly combined company created the largest pay TV provider in the world. The company said it will offer millions of people more choices for video entertainment on any screen at any time.

Harris joined AT&T in 2000 and brings nearly 20 years of industry experience to her new position. Prior to relocating in Colorado from San Diego, Harris held leadership positions across AT&T business segments, including video, wireless and customer experience.

Harris is an active member of the AT&T Veterans Association, Women of AT&T and AT&T’s oxyGEN – a millennial-focused employee resource group. Harris will be based out of AT&T’s office in Englewood, Colorado.
