(KPAX) A 10-month long renovation and expansion project at Missoula’s Eastgate Albertsons was officially on display Wednesday at the store’s grand reopening celebration.

The 8,000 square-foot expansion includes a new pharmacy, expanded produce, floral department, and beer and wine department as well as an in-store Starbucks.

Albertsons’ management said the expansion and remodel was all for the benefit of its customers as it creates more room, and a more natural flow.

“It’s been very extensive. Everything in the store is new — all the shelving, cases, everything. There’s nothing in the store that hasn’t been replaced,” Albertsons Store Director Ronnie Harvie said.

Harvie added that he’s proud of his staff for all the work put in the last few months and hopes that customers will notice the difference.
