Changes coming to Missoula’s KettleHouse Brewing Co.
(KPAX) The KettleHouse Brewing Company is changing its logo after almost 25 years in business and is also putting one of its popular tap beers in cans.
It was full steam ahead on Tuesday at the brewery in Bonner along the Blackfoot River.
The crew was busy canning Hellgate Honey Hefeweizen with the new branding on the cans and boxes. The new logo incorporates mountains and sunshine.
This beer is made with local honey from Arlee as well as Montana grown and malted barley — and is becoming a fan favorite along with its famous Cold Smoke brew.
It’s a labor of love for co-founder Tim O’Leary, who says this new beer and new logo will carry them through the next quarter-century of beer making.
“We’ve had cans on the shelves since 2006 and we felt it’s time to freshen up our look,” O’Leary said. “And while we’re doing that with our core brands, we brought out a new release that has been a perennial brand in our taprooms.”
“And now we want to share it with a wider audience. What it takes is the quality and the willingness to do whatever it takes to make the highest quality beer,” he added.
The brewery recently unveiled a brand new taproom that will also be open during the summer concert season at the KettleHouse Amphitheater.
KettleHouse is also one of many Montana beer makers to use the Brewers Association’s “Independent Craft Brewer Seal” so consumers know where their beverage came from.
More than half of small and independent brewing companies in Montana have signed on to use the seal.
