A Missoula real estate broker netted his company's top national honors last week with more than $22 million in ranch sales recorded in 2018.

The figure comes on a record year for Live Water Properties and it was enough to earn Missoula broker Tom Hilley the title as his company's top producer.

Hilley was recognized at the company's national conference, along with Latham Jackson of Jackson, Wyoming.

“We are very proud to have Tom and Latham as our top two producers in 2018,” said John Merritt, the company's vice president. “Both have just begun their careers with Live Water but have made a large impact immediately for both sales and culture.”

Hilley, a fourth generation Montanan, joined Live Water Properties in 2017 with 25 years in real estate. He netted more than $22 million in ranch sales last year, including a 16,900 acre ranch in Rosebud County.

Hilley opened the company's Missoula branch in 2017. The firm specializes in ranches that offer premier fly-fishing, hunting and conservation opportunities. Live Water covers nine Western states and has recorded roughly $1.7 billion in closed deals.

“I was blessed with the incredible fortune to be born in Montana, the great-grandson of ranchers AJ and Sarah McDonald, who founded the Merrimac Cattle Co.,” Hilley said last year after opening the Missoula office. “My cousin successfully ranches it to this day.”
