Sterling Commercial Real Estate of Missoula on Monday said a former auto lot located on West Broadway has been sold and will be redeveloped next spring.

In their latest episode of “Hey, What's That,” posted monthly on the Missoula Current, real estate advisers Claire Matten and Matt Mellott said the property formerly occupied by Nickle Auto Group was purchased by O'Rielly Auto Parts.

“They acquired the property a few months back,” said Matten. “They'll likely begin construction on a facility next spring.”

It wasn't immediately known if O'Rielly planned to close their current store on South Brooks Street. A company spokesperson couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

The company's project would mark the latest in a series of developments taking to the West Broadway corridor. DJ&A architects is currently building a new $3.5 million office at Broadway and Maple Street, while a team of doctors plan to begin construction on a $7 medical office next door.

Further west, the Department of Veterans Affairs this month announced its plans to construct a new Community Based Outpatient Clinic at West Broadway and Mary Jane Boulevard.

Mellott said other real estate moves were taking shape.

“Summit Beverage plans to build a new distribution facility off Flynn Lane and move their operations from their current site behind Costco,” Mellot said.
