A prominent law firm with a footprint in Missoula said a large group of attorneys from a separate firm will join their practice in the coming weeks, including shareholders, associates and counsel attorneys.

Parsons Behle & Latimer, headquartered in Salt Lake City, said attorneys from Jones Waldo are expected to accept offers in the coming days, making Parsons one of the largest firms in the Intermountain West.

“With our shared views on client service, strategic growth, diversity and community, the addition of these well-respected attorneys is a natural fit,” said Parsons’ CEO and chairperson Shawn C. Ferrin. “We look forward to offering all of our clients – old and new – broader and more enhanced practice capabilities to respond to their legal needs in today’s evolving markets.”

According to the firm, many attorneys from Jones Waldo already have accepted offers to join Parson. The new members work across a variety of practices. Parsons also anticipates the addition of professional staff members as Jones Waldo attorneys transition to Parsons.

“The move to Parsons Behle & Latimer represents an exciting new chapter for me and many of my colleagues. Joining forces with the attorneys of Parsons will empower us to provide expanded legal services and a broader geographic footprint for our clients,” Jones Waldo chairperson Liz Butler said in a statement.

Parsons said the addition of Jones Waldo members will provide new and existing clients with expanded resources, greater bench strength and a larger geographic footprint.

It will also enhance key practices including antitrust, and corporate, environmental and employment law. Other practices include government relations; healthcare; immigration; intellectual property; real estate; and trusts and estates.

Parsons has offices in Lehi, Utah; Boise and Idaho Falls; Reno, Nevada and Missoula and Helena.
