The work week started out on the chilly side on Monday in Missoula with an icy fog and temperatures of 21 degrees.

But by later today, Missoulians should see the sun and a daytime high of 46 degrees.

The National Weather Service in Missoula issued a dense fog advisory early Monday for much of western Montana, including the Missoula Valley and the Seeley Lake region.

The advisory should lift around 10 a.m., giving way to partly sunny skies and pleasant fall temperatures.

The week-long forecast includes an 80 percent chance of rain and snow on Tuesday, freezing fog on Wednesday, and a 70 percent chance of rain on Thursday.
