Sen. Jon Tester this week announced a new lineup of senior staffers as he begins his third term in office, including the state's sitting director of commerce, Pam Haxby-Cote.

Haxby-Cote, who was appointed director in 2017, will leave her post to oversee Tester's seven Montana offices as state director. She replaces Dayna Swanson, who is moving to Seattle.

“I am proud to have such a talented group of individuals working with me to serve the people of Montana,” Tester said in a statement. “Together we will fight for Montana every day and hold Washington accountable to ensure a bright future for the next generation.”

Tester also announced the appointment of Dylan Laslovich as chief of staff. Laslovich is a University of Montana graduate who has spearheaded Tester's policy efforts in Washington as legislative director.

He has worked for Tester since 2010 and replaces Aaron Murphy.

“I am honored by this responsibility and look forward to continuing to assist Sen. Tester in serving Montana,” Laslovich said. “Senator Tester and his team will always stand up for Montana with common sense.”

Tester also appointed Justin Folsom as his new legislative director.

Folsom is a Helena native who has worked for Tester for eight years, focusing on infrastructure, commerce, telecommunications and agriculture. He also served as Tester's political director in the 2018 campaign.
