(KPAX) The Missoula County Clerk's Office is dealing with more computer issues and extended wait times once again, and anyone wishing to register a vehicle or do title transactions should be prepared to wait longer than normal this week.

Missoula County Clerk and Treasurer Tyler Gernant says it’s taking about an hour and 15 minutes to wait for a title, and it could take longer for registration.

Gernant says the Montana Department of Justice is scheduled to send someone on Wednesday to check the computer system. A system crash on Friday caused backups, and Gernant says additional appointment slots were filled.

Missoula County has also been approved to test a pilot program which will allow them to process transactions via email. They will test run 10-to-15 transactions in a couple weeks.

Gernant suggests that people wait a couple weeks to come in. But if you do need to come in, you can check wait times at checktheline.us , and reserve a spot in line at getintheline.us .
