(KPAX) Maclay Bridge west of Missoula is closed for repairs this week.

Residents spotted two holes in the bridge deck back in September, and Missoula County Public Works has been keeping an eye on the span.

Access will be blocked off for the next two weeks. The closure started Monday at 8 a.m. and will tentatively reopen on Friday, Oct. 11 at 5 p.m.

Crews will make repairs to six areas on the bridge.

The bridge will be closed again on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 8 a.m., and if the repairs are completed, it will be reopened for full access by Oct. 18.

When we spoke with Missoula County Public Works last month, they told us they made similar repairs to the bridge in 2013.

Anyone seeking more information about the closure can contact the County at (406) 258-4753.
