(KPAX) Montana gubernatorial candidate Rep. Greg Gianforte and his running mate, Kristen Juras, confirmed Saturday they will self-quarantine after Gianforte's wife, Susan, and Juras attended an event last week with Kimberly Guilfoyle, who has since tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a campaign spokesperson, last Tuesday Susan Gianforte and Juras attended an event with Kimberly Guilfoyle, who is Donald Trump Jr.'s girlfriend.

"Since learning of their potential exposure, Greg, Susan, and Kristen have adhered to recommended guidelines. Out of an abundance of caution and for the health and safety of others, they will self-quarantine, be tested for COVID-19, and suspend in-person campaign events pending test results," the Gianforte campaign stated in an email.

Staff with Republican Congressional candidate Matt Rosendale's campaign confirmed Saturday that Rosendale was also at the event Guilfoyle attended and is self-quarantining while awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test.

According to the campaign, Rosendale will self-quarantine and cancel events for two weeks, regardless of test results, “out of an abundance of caution.”

Sam Loveridge, campaign manager for Republican Montana Auditor candidate Troy Downing, said in an email Downing attended a reception prior to the event, but "at no time was Troy or campaign staff in close proximity to Ms. Guilfoyle."

"Out of an abundance of caution, Troy Downing will be tested as soon as possible and will avoid personal contact and all public functions until a negative test result can be confirmed," Loveridge said in the email.
