Incumbent Mayor John Engen took an early lead on Tuesday night in his effort to secure another term in office.

According to unofficial early returns, Engen had 61.2% of the vote compared to challenger Jacob Elder's 36%.

The returns suggest a voter turnout of around 39%.

Victory would mark Engen's fourth term in office, making him the longest serving mayor in the city's history.
