The Missoula Art Museum, the city of Missoula and Adventure Cycling will dedicate the Missoula Art Park with a ceremonial tree planting and an artist reception starting at 4:30 on Friday, April 21

Attendees can meet the inaugural artists of the Missoula Art Park (located on Pine Street in downtown Missoula), explore the sculpture installation, and celebrate at the museum with live music, food and refreshments.

Adventure Cycling will also offer free tours of their facility until 6 p.m.

The inaugural exhibition in the newly created city park features art made with or inspired by bicycles in honor of MAM’s partnership with Adventure Cycling.

Artists Ann Appleby, Kim Reineking, Whitney Ford-Terry, Keith Goodhart, Jeremy Hatch, and Patrick Zentz will each create an artwork that incorporates or responds to the bicycle physically, conceptually, or abstractly.

Earth Day Explorations in Art and Science

Missoula Art Museum from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Join Watershed Education Network and Missoula Art Museum for a discovery field trip to the Clark Fork River to examine and draw aquatic specimens. This is an all-ages workshop.

En Plein Air Coffee Club

Meets at Missoula Art Park at 10 a.m.

Earth Day Art and Arbor Ride

Begins at Missoula Art Park at 1:30 p.m.

Join Missoula In Motion, city of Missoula and city parks for a bike tour of public art and champion trees. The ride will begin at Missoula Art Museum, travel along family-friendly routes, end at FreeCycles. The ride lasts about 2 hours.
