VIDEO: Missoula “Dreamer” talks about life under DACA as Congress debates
Nereyda Calero, a so-called Dreamer who lives in Missoula and whose future is tied up in Congress, talks about what it’s like to live under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and possible deportation.
Calero, an emergency medical technician, is one of an estimated 100 Dreamers who live in Montana and 800,000 nationally. She spoke at the recent Martin Luther King Jr. Day rally in downtown Missoula.
This is her story in her own words, a cold Hellgate wind included.
