Local health officials on Monday reported another confirmed case of coronavirus in Missoula County, bringing the number of patients to 23. Several hours later, they confirmed another one.

The Missoula City-County Health Department has said the number of infected people is likely higher, though limited testing has been reserved for high-risk workers and those who could face poor health outcomes.

A press conference is scheduled later today to discuss expanded testing with city and county officials, along with healthcare workers.

Details on the latest Missoula patient weren't released. Health officials only said they're “actively following up to learn more details about the individuals exposure risk and travel history,” and to identify others who the person may have had contact with.

Statewide, the number of confirmed cases stands at 319. To date, 27 people have been hospitalized for the virus and six have died, including a patient in Missoula County over the weekend.

Gov. Steve Bullock last week said it's likely that he'll extend the stay-at-home order and school closures for another two weeks. The orders were set to expire this Friday, though an announcement extending that is expected soon.
