A two-day celebration has been scheduled for next month to honor the career of longtime Lady Griz coach Robin Selvig, who retired in July after leading the Montana women's basketball program for 38 years.

The weekend will start with a dinner and program at the DoubleTree on Friday, Jan. 20. The function will start with a social from 6-7 p.m., followed by dinner and a program. Several special guests will speak and reflect on Selvig's career and the impact he made on lives, a university and a state.

The cost of the event is $30 per ticket. Seating is limited, and tickets are expected to sell out quickly.

Tickets can be purchased at the Adams Center between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, over the phone at 243-4051 (or 888-MONTANA) or at GrizTix.com. Phone and online orders are subject to a convenience fee.

The celebration will continue on Saturday, Jan. 21, when the Lady Griz host Sacramento State at 2 p.m. at Dahlberg Arena on Robin Selvig Day. A number of pre- and in-game activities are planned that will highlight Selvig's career.
