Yellowstone National Park will conduct an invasive species removal project in the northern part of the park as part of an ongoing conservation effort to preserve native Yellowstone Cutthroat trout.

Montana’s cutthroat trout are on the decline, but fisheries biologists are developing plans to preserve the species, especially those that still migrate through the streams of western Montana.
