One month after announcing its intent to implement impact fees across the district served by Missoula Rural Fire, Missoula County made the move official on Tuesday.

For the first time, the Missoula Rural Fire District will begin collecting impact fees to help it prepare for impending growth and the services it will require.

The recommended fees represent a one-time sum intended to cover the cost of infrastructure needed to support new growth.
