These Missoula Businesses Have Closed Their Doors in 2026
We've seen a lot of changes in businesses around Missoula in 2026.
Surprising Closures: Restaurants We Loved
We've seen some pretty big businesses close their doors this year, including several restaurants that had become part of the Missoula community.
Elote and Pangea: Unexpected Goodbyes
One of the first announcements of 2026 was the closing of Elote, the Mexican restaurant at Southgate Mall.

Pangea closed its doors downtown in March. The announcement about their closure said it was a temporary and "We'll be back before you know it." Don't be surprised if another restaurant opens in that space with new owners and a new menu.
We also said goodbye to the Liquid Planet Grille on Brooks, which had been located in the old Denny's location on Brooks Street. The Arthur Street location is still open.

More Than Just Restaurants: Other Business Closures
There have been plenty of other Missoula businesses that have closed their doors in 2026.
The Little Scrub Shop, which was located pretty close to the radio station, has closed. They specialized in selling clothing for the medical industry.
Bullseye Eyeglasses also closed its doors.
We've also lost Pine & Needle, a local business that printed T-shirts, did custom embroidery and printing. In fact, Pine and Needle was the company that made the latest radio station T-shirts we've been giving away.

Then there was 406 Yogurt, one of the last frozen yogurt shops in Missoula.
Remembering the Favorites: Iconic Missoula Establishments
We've also said goodbye to some familiar Missoula bars and restaurants, including James Bar and Stave & Hoop.

One of the biggest recent announcements was the permanent closure of Applebee's on Brooks Street.

That's another business that had been part of Missoula for years.
Some businesses have disappeared for good.
Others are simply going through a major change.
I'm sure we've missed some.
That's where you come in.
What other Missoula businesses have closed their doors in 2026?
Maybe it was a restaurant you loved.
Maybe it was a small local shop that you've been going to for years.
Maybe it was a business that you didn't even realize was gone until you drove by one day and noticed the sign had disappeared.
Let us know what we missed.
Looking back at this list, it's amazing how much the Missoula business landscape has changed in just the first part of 2026.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling this list isn't finished yet.
