From Griz Football to Halloween: October Is Packed in Missoula
October is nearly here, and we're giving you 5(ish) events to check out in Missoula:
Germanfest Stein Holding Finals
Germanfest takes over Caras Park on Saturday, October 3 from 12 to 9 pm. There will be music, brats, games, and activities, and my personal favorite, the Montana State Championship Steinholding Finals.
" Steinholders from across the state will compete to see who will move on to nationals in Cincinnati, Ohio!" -Missoulaevents.net
"Come From Away" at the Missoula Children's Theatre
"This musical should not exist. Born of unspeakable tragedy, it delivered tremendous hope and healing to a world desperately in need of it. Come From Away is the true story of 38 passenger planes carrying 7,000 people, all planning to be anywhere in the world other than Gander, Newfoundland on September 11, 2001." - Missoula Children's Theater's website
The powerful story of Come From Away is coming to the Missoula Children's Theatre in October. In collaboration with Music Theatre International, the performances run October 8 to October 18.

There are several performances at The Wilma and The Top Hat this month. I believe the schedule is highlighted by The Fruit Bats at the Wilma on Thursday, October 15 (7 pm), and Shakey Graves at the Wilma on Friday, October 23 (7 pm).
