Sigh.

I have more bad Missoula restaurant news, folks. We're losing not one but two restaurants, and both are taco places.

A few weeks ago, Taco Del Sol announced it'll be closing its doors for good. The Missoulian posted the story on October 9.

"We've been there almost 30 years," he said. "It was great to be a part of downtown. You kind of know when it's your time. We've been there a long time for a small restaurant." - Taco del Sol founder Dave Beaton told the Missoulian

Now, it's Taco Sano closing for good.

"This building has been slated for demolition more than once in the last few years and with that we have looked at new paths. We were offered a new lease but with CAM fees and unpredictable food costs, it just didn't make sense." - Taco Sano's Instagram page.

It's hard to blame the owners, don't you think? If they're being kicked out of their current place, it's hard to tell them to move locations and act like it'll all be fine. It seems like restaurants are closing left and right.

So with that, Taco Sano will have its last day of business this Friday, October 30. I'll be checking out Taco Sano one last time for sure.

But it's not all bad. Several places opened in 2026.

I don't know; I'm just trying to be a little more optimistic. God knows my girlfriend says I should be.
