Seventeen years have passed since Lil Wayne released his solo debut album, "The Block is Hot."

Nine years ago, he released his most successful album to date in "The Carter III."

Now he'll play the Adams Center at the University of Montana on Monday, April 24 at 8 p.m.

Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., known professionally as Lil Wayne, is an American hip hop recording artist from New Orleans. In 1991, at the age of 9, Lil Wayne joined Cash Money Records as the youngest member of the label.

Lil Wayne has sold over 100 million records worldwide, including more than 15 million albums and 37 million digital tracks in United States, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time.

On Sept. 27, 2012, Lil Wayne passed Elvis Presley as the male with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with 109 songs.

Tickets for the Missoula show went on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 17 at all GrizTix locations. They're also available by phone at 888-MONTANA. Ticket prices range from $35 to $55, plus fees.
