The Missoula City Council on Monday night voted to bring an area deemed an infrastructure desert into an Urban Renewal District, poising the property for future investment and redevelopment.

Six months after Roseburg announced the closure of its particleboard plant, Missoula County will consider a proposal to adjust the property's boundary lines to create several large tracts of land.

According to the company website, the Missoula plant has 175 employees and has been in business since 1969.
