Missoula’s howling for healthcare workers gets national attention

We’ve all seen the evening news reports of people coming together in various parts of the world, even when they’re forced to stand apart. A show of solidarity during difficult times.

Singers have taken to balconies to belt out the opera and buildings have shimmered in blue light. We’ve seen group singalongs and balloons of gratitude. And in Montana, we’ve heard the howl, and it finally received some national attention.

Russ Fletcher with the Montana Associated Round Tables brought this to our attention this morning and we wanted to share. Take a look at what the PBS New Hour Report had to say about Missoula’s solidarity ritual.

Also, here’s a Missoula Current video on the Missoula howl shot back during the supermoon in early April.
