Dawn Marie Knie (Schaan)
June 8, 1965 - December 5, 2023
Dawn Marie Knie (Schaan), 58, passed away in the comfort of her home with her husband Keven and beloved cat Buzz by her side on 12/5/2023.
Dawn was born on 06/08/1965 to Jerilee Mann and James Becht in Puyallup, WA.
Dawn was a loan officer for almost 30 years where she took pride in helping people, especially with the first time home buyers who thought they would never own a home. Dawn would spend hours doing everything in her power to ensure her clients were well taken care of and got the outcome they were desperately hoping for. When she wasn’t hard at work, she was outdoors enjoying Montana’s beauty. She was passionate about many things; spending time in her garden, kayaking, hunting, jewelry making, fly fishing, canning, huckleberry picking, traveling and hosting gatherings with her friends and family. She loved camping and exploring on the side-by-side and helping prospect for gold with her husband. She was a devoted wife, daughter, friend and grandmother. Dawn was also involved in her community by volunteering at the Big Brothers Big Sisters. She was matched with her “little sister” Makayla in the fall of 2004 which blossomed into a lifelong friendship. She was a light to all who knew her and a true joy to be around. Much like Dawn’s love of gardening, she left beauty and sustenance in all of the lives she touched. When Dawn set her mind to something, she would go above and beyond exceeding all expectations with a smile on her face. Her love will forever remain deeply rooted in those who had the honor and privilege of knowing her.
Dawn is preceded in death by her father James, and Aunt Judy Robertson. Survived by her husband, Keven Knie, step mother Glee Becht, Mother Jerilee Mann, Brother Anthony Becht, multiple step brothers and step sisters. Step-daughter Jordyn Knie and grandchildren Blake and Payton, and step-daughter Kelsey Woods (Austin) and grandchildren Kole and Kennedy.
Services will be held on January 26th, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Garden City Funeral Home Banquet Room with Steve Cooney officiating. Spreading of her ashes will take place in the Blackfoot river and near Superior at a date to be determined in the spring of 2024.
