Missoula County Fairgrounds

The county in 2020 issue the six mills to fund improvements within the Fairgrounds Special District. The mills have been in place ever since and through financial negotiations, the county has held the costs to within the mills.

In a few short weeks, Heritage Timber will begin deconstructing the dated grandstands at the Missoula County Fairgrounds, and the county's contractors will race to construct its replacement ahead of next year's fair.

With the Midtown plan now in place, city officials expect private investment to follow. And as the fairgrounds continues to evolve, ensuring it blends seamlessly into the surrounding neighborhood has emerged as a key goal in both plans.

The $3 million project has been years in the making and continues the renovations taking place at the Midtown fairgrounds. It's also made possible by a $750,000 private donation from a local family deeply rooted in Missoula.
