Despite lawsuit, Missoula County cuts state mills, citing statute
Citing standing Montana law, Missoula County on Thursday joined other counties across the state in levying fewer mills than what the state believes it's entitled to through school equalization.

New zoning bills have City of Missoula racing to adopt changes
A number of bills passed by the Montana Legislature has the City of Missoula racing to amend portions of its zoning code to comply with new laws, including a reduction in parking, removal of certain design requirements, and adhering to shortened review periods.
City approves bargaining agreement with machinists
According to the city, a mechanic-welder will receive $36.74 hourly starting next July. That will increase to $43.98 by July 2026. A lead worker will also receive $38.99 starting next July and $46.73 starting July 2026.
