A study commissioned by the last legislative session found that Medicaid providers in Montana were being reimbursed at rates much lower than the cost of care.
A group of a dozen state attorneys general, including Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum, is suing the Food and Drug Administration, alleging the federal agency is excessively regulating an abortion pill.

The update would allow certified professional midwives to access and administer medicines that supporters say can be crucial to the health and safety of the mother during at-home or birth-center births.
Roughly 9.1% of the adult population of Montana has been diagnosed with diabetes, but it’s estimated an additional 24,000 people in Montana are living with undiagnosed diabetes.
The bill would stop local health authorities from being able to enforce the act, which passed in 2005. It also would remove penalties against businesses.
