Montana has always had extreme weather events, but they are becoming more frequent and more costly for Montanans.

Nick Fitzmaurice writes "Following the PSC’s approval of a 28% increase to residential electricity rates in October 2023, this recent decision permanently increases residential electric base rates by 17%, which will result in an approximately 12% overall increase to residential electric bills beginning February 1, 2026."
